Check before you buy. Honda has built wireless CarPlay into a lot of its range — Accord, Civic, CR-V, Pilot, Ridgeline, Odyssey, HR-V, Passport and Prologue among them. If yours already does it, an adapter adds nothing. We would rather tell you that than sell you one.

Honda is genuinely inconsistent here: a 2019 Accord may have wireless built in while a same-year rival does not. Trim matters as much as year.
How to tell in 30 seconds
Before buying anything, check your phone’s Bluetooth settings while in the car. If CarPlay starts without plugging in a cable, you already have wireless and need nothing further.
If CarPlay only appears once you plug the cable in, you have wired CarPlay — and an adapter is exactly what you want.

Ignore model-year charts for a moment and check your own car directly:
- Plug your iPhone into the USB port with a data cable (not a charge-only cable)
- If CarPlay appears on screen, you have wired CarPlay — an adapter will convert it to wireless
- If nothing happens, your car does not have CarPlay, and no adapter can add it
This is more reliable than any compatibility list, because trim levels and regional specs vary within the same model year.
